We combine advanced formulation approach with the development of mild, gentle evaporative processes, which preserve the native structure of the biological agent and reduce degradation during storage. These drying techniques can be readily performed in any manufacturing setting using commercially available lyophilizers or spray dryers by personnel with the appropriate training and experience. The equipment, facility, and the overall cost of manufacturing are comparable to currently used freeze-drying manufacturing processes to stabilize vaccines.
