Our products target infectious diseases that have a significant impact on life expectancy and are selected based on their readiness to advance through clinical development

Aridis’ therapeutic products drug candidates include gallium nitrate (PanaecinTM) and a human monoclonal antibody (AerucinTM), both effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which chronically infects the lungs of cystic fibrosis and is commonly found in the lungs of non-CF brochiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) and ventilators assisted pneumonia (VAP) patients. Combining these potent therapies with targeted delivery in the form of inhalable formulations will fundamentally advance drug treatment beyond the limitations of chronic antibiotic use.

Aridis also has an advanced oral vaccine that prevents gastroenteritis due to rotavirus infection in infants. This vaccine (RotavaxTM) has completed NIH sponsored phase 1 and 2 clinical testing establishing both its safety and efficacy. A formulation change to room temperature stable oral thin film formulation has been implemented in order to create a competitively superior, conveniently delivered vaccine that will be effective in a two-dose regimen. We are entering into discussions with potential collaborative partners to further advance this product into clinical testing and beyond..
