Aridis Awarded Two Grants Totaling over $2M by the NIH, BARDA, and RCE to Develop Formulation Technologies for Biodefense

Aridis Pharmaceuticals, LLC announced today that it had received two additional grant awards totaling more than $2 million from the NIH and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and the Mid Atlantic Regional Center of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases Research (RCE). The first award, from the NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), is part of a $22M contract shared with Integrated Biotherapeutics (IBT) for the development of formulations for IBT's filovirus vaccine candidates desiged to protect against Ebola and Marburg viruses (more..). Tthe second award from RCE is in collaboration with the laboratories of Drs. Eileen Barry and Myron Levine will be used to develop stabilization technology for Franciscella tularensis vaccines.
