Eric J. Patzer, Ph.D.
President
Dr. Patzer has over 20 years experience in biotechnology industry beginning in 1981 at Genentech. He has been involved in the development of numerous biotechnology products including Activase®, Protropin®, Herceptin® and Xolair®. In 1996 he joined Aviron (now Medimmune Vaccines) as VP, Development to build the development expertise needed to advance new vaccines from research through the product development pipeline. He was project leader of the intranasal influenza vaccine (FluMist™) during preclinical and clinical development. Dr. Patzer received his Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of Virginia.
Vu L. Truong, Ph.D.
Vice President, R&D
Dr.Truong is co-founder and Aridis’ Chief Technology Officer. He has more than 12 years experience in formulation and stabilization of macromolecules and formerly served as head of Formulation Technology Department at Medimmune. He is one of the leading researchers on biopreservation of live vaccines and human monoclonal antibodies and holds seven patents related to these technologies. Dr. Truong received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
